"Allow myself to introduce myself..."

It only took a year (read that with sarcasm), to get pregnant. It is amazing how much energy you expend in your adult life trying NOT to get pregnant because you think it is so easy for it to happen. And when you couple that misconception with a Type A person who likes to plan and schedule, you have a very interesting experiment in Mother Nature. 6 months, one surgery for Endometriosis and another 6 months and we were back in the game ... Little "Lulu" was conceived and the journey of pregnancy began.

Baby "Lulu" has been very kind to her mom. There was never any morning sickness, no weird cravings (with the exception of an intense love of all things vinegar for about 3 weeks) and nothing that upsetting related to body changes. Unless you consider GINORMOUS boobs upsetting - which my husband would tell you is the best part of the whole pregnancy.

We are about 2 weeks away from her due date and I can tell you with utter certainty, any reservation that I previously had regarding her exit is gone. It is 90 degrees outside, she is apparently about 7 pounds, I can't see my feet and I am done schlepping her around in there. Homegirl needs to COME OUT. I am sure I will not enjoy the "exit," but I will cross that bridge when I get there. (With the help of my good friend, Mr. Epidural.)
