4th Of July

Ashley and I spent the weekend out in Claremont where I grew up. Claremont has a 4th of July parade every year and I used to always decorate my bike and ride in it with my sisters. It was so fun to see the tradition carried on by our daughters. It was a perfect slice of Americana. Looking at the world through my daughter's eyes reminds me of all that is good and honest and pure.

Tracee. OK. You have now brought tears to MY eyes. You are getting as sentimental as me in your "old" age. I can't tell you how closely your blog comes to mind my family memories when I think of how precious a moment it was to see you and your sisters riding your bikes all decked out in flags and hope and joy. I look at these pictures and I am so lucky you and Jenny let me enjoy those memories with you. Your girls are absolutely breathtaking and fabulous and so full of innocence .....and they are great cheerleaders and dancers!!! I hope this is a tradition...I absolutely LOVED the weekend....and the girls in the parade. Ashley was a "star"...with those glasses and her princess wave! Love you so much. MOM/Gigi

PS. I have about 78 gazillion ridiculously cute pictures of your daughter from this weekend.
